KindredAccess is a space for genuine human connection. These guidelines help us maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming community for everyone.

What We Expect

    Accept "no" gracefully - Not everyone will be a match, and that's okay. Respect boundaries and move on respectfully.

    Keep conversations appropriate - Build trust before sharing personal details. Never share explicit content without consent.

    Report concerns - If someone makes you uncomfortable, use our reporting tools. We take all reports seriously.

Zero Tolerance Behaviors

The following behaviors will result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban:

    Harassment or bullying - This includes persistent unwanted contact, threats, intimidation, or targeting someone based on any personal characteristic.
  • ✗
    Fetishization or objectification - Treating people as objects or focusing solely on disability/identity as a source of attraction is dehumanizing and not welcome here.
  • ✗
    Fake profiles or catfishing - Using someone else's photos, creating fake identities, or misrepresenting yourself.
  • ✗
    Scams or commercial activity - Attempting to defraud members, promote products/services, or solicit money.
  • ✗
    Hate speech or discrimination - Attacks or negative generalizations based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
  • ✗
    Illegal activity - Any content or behavior that violates the law.

Profile Guidelines

Photos

  • Use recent, clear photos of yourself
  • Your main photo should clearly show your face
  • No explicit or inappropriate content
  • Please provide alt text for accessibility

Bio & Information

  • Be honest about who you are and what you're looking for
  • Don't include personal contact information in your bio
  • Avoid offensive language or content
  • Share as much or as little about your accessibility needs as you're comfortable with

Content Moderation Policy

We review all uploaded content to maintain a safe environment. Here's how our moderation works:

Photo Review Process

  • Automated screening: Photos are automatically scanned for prohibited content (nudity, violence, known illegal imagery)
  • Human review: Flagged photos and random samples are reviewed by our moderation team
  • Timeline: Most photos are approved within 24 hours; flagged content may take up to 72 hours

What We Don't Allow

  • Nudity or sexually explicit content
  • Violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
  • Photos of minors (unless you are the minor and 18+)
  • Celebrity photos or photos of others without consent
  • Promotional content, watermarks, or advertisements
  • Hate symbols or offensive gestures

If Your Content Is Rejected

  • You'll receive a notification explaining why
  • You can upload a different photo that meets our guidelines
  • Repeated violations may result in account restrictions

Appeals

If you believe your content was incorrectly rejected, contact us at appeals@kindredaccess.com with your username and a description of the issue. We'll review within 5 business days.

Our commitment: We strive to balance safety with fairness. Our moderators are trained to respect diverse bodies, mobility aids, medical devices, and assistive technology in photos.

Messaging Guidelines

  • Start conversations respectfully - introduce yourself and show genuine interest
  • Be patient - people have different response times and communication styles
  • If someone doesn't respond or seems uninterested, respect their space
  • Keep early conversations on the platform until you've built trust
  • Use the block and report features if someone makes you uncomfortable

How to Report

If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines:

  1. Use the Report button on any profile or message
  2. Provide as much detail as possible about what happened
  3. Consider using the Block feature to prevent further contact
  4. Our team reviews all reports and takes appropriate action

Note: All reports are confidential. The reported user will not know who reported them or see the details of your report.

These guidelines may be updated periodically. We'll notify you of significant changes.
